How WLA Ambassadors Make an Impact

 Many hands make light work!  WLA Ambassadors play a valued role in supporting today's and tomorrow's generations of women in the financial advising profession by helping the WLA to expand our reach in businesses, communities, and colleges around the country.  Whether you have an hour to give each year, each month, or each week, your Ambassador support makes a difference. 

Here are a few examples of how WLA Ambassadors make an impact:

  • Identify yourself as a WLA Ambassador on your website and social media
  • Refer others to join the WLA Ambassador Community
  • Share WLA "Her Path" stories and social media content
  • Provide the WLA mission and link on your website
  • Access WLA provided tools and resources to share in your presentations & among your circle of influence
  • Speak to college women (virtually or in-person) about the financial advising profession
  • Join a panel in a WLA Ambassador Community & Conversation
  • Become a WLA Ambassador/Donor with a monthly or annual tax-deductible contribution
  • Invite potential sponsors to support the WLA programs
  • Participate in an online “office hour” Q&A for women considering the FA profession
  • Nominate women as mentors and mentees in the WLA’s Mentorship program

Ambassador

WLA Ambassadors include financial advisors as well as advocates and allies, of all gender identities who want to join a movement to advance more women in the financial advising profession.

Early Career Ambassador

Early Career Ambassadors are financial advisors with fewer than four years of experience in the profession who are looking to build their network, their business, and their confidence, AND who would like to support other women on their financial advising path.  

Student Ambassador

Student Ambassadors are enrolled in a college or university or are engaged in a financial advising internship and plan to pursue a career as a financial advisor and wish to connect with other women at various stages of their financial advising path.
